I use WEN cleansing conditioner.  My hair is fine, straight, long and can also sometimes be frizzy and I love it.  There are a few different formulas to choose from.  I used to use the Lavender, but they came out with a new formula called Six Thirteen that I find to be great for my hair.  I used to be an everyday washer, but now I can go every other or sometimes even 3 days.  You can get it on the QVC site.

Tea tree oil shampoo is a favorite of mine. There’s the more expensive brands like Giovanni and also generic brands. Giovanni is available at Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx on occasion too. Trader Joes has a good generic shampoo and conditoner set too.

@lunathea:  The conditioner is the shampoo!  It’s a cleansing conditioner.  It’s a little bit expensive but you only have to buy 1 bottle instead of a set of shampoo & conditioner.

You lather the conditioner into a creamy lather and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.  I just do that first and then go about the rest of my shower and rinse at the end of my shower.

Check it out on QVC

Tea tree oil is one of the only things that keeps my hair from being greasy. Don’t get freaked out by the word “oil” because it’s one of the most non-greasy oils out there (why it’s used for acne too) I break out from conditioner too so it really helps to have the tea tree oil to act against that as well.

I love my hair EXCEPT for that fact that 12-14 hours after a wash it looks like I went swimming in a grease truck. So disgusting. This has been my plight all my life, to find a shampoo that does a good job of holding off the greasy/dirty look for at least awhile longer. I have finally found a combination that is so far working wonders for me.  I can shower at night and still wear my hair down the next morning. I alternate each night, one night I wash with Biolage Volumatherapie and the next I use Aussie Cleanse & Mend. I found out about cleanse & mend after doing an online search for greasy hair tips.  The biolage I had gotten for free and was pure luck. I figure by alternating, my hair won’t get too used to either.  The Aussie is only about $3.00 and decent deals can be found on Biolage, I just bought 3 bottles of it yesterday at a buy 2 get 1 free sale and had a 20% coupon. I paid $24.00 total.
