WOW!!  This is a hard one.  When I read your message I immediately thought – leave your hair down if that’s how your Fiance likes it best……  Then I saw your dress.  If you wear your hair down you pretty much are going to mask pretty much all of that back detail.

Could you do a messy side bun like this

That way you get the bulk of your hair up and off your dress detail, but have bangs around the front to give the illusion that your isn’t fully up

I agree with the side pony! Best of both worlds!

I like the side pony, too! Your fiance gets to admire your pretty hair, but you don’t have to fuss with it all night 🙂

Love the dress!! If your hair is just below your shoulders, you might could wear it down without covering up the back… if you do curls (not waves) it will shorten your 2 or 3 inches which might leave most of the back of the dress showing. You’d have t o play around with it and see if you could get it off of the back of the dress without making it too Shirley Temple-y though.

Why not wear it up for the ceremony and down for the reception or vice versa?

Side pony, as it shows off the dress and makes your man happy!

My fiance kept telling me he wanted my hair down because he likes it that way, until he saw it up and I had a mock veil on. Guys say they want something only because it’s hard for them to imagine how pretty other styles could be. I’m going with a loose, messy updo, I’m sure once he sees you he’ll change his mind. Wink
