You look SERIOUSLY GORGEOUS with dark hair! Whomever told you they didn’t like it, was crazy. No, but really, you could totally rock that style. Your skin tone is fabulous, and I could definitely see you going middle of the road or even darker. Lovely!

Aww, I am so sorry to hear that! Because you looked beautiful like that. I have natural chocolate brown hair, much like the avi I have on there. But over the years I have grown pale due to lack of tanning, and my boyfriend prefers my hair red. It does look natural, and it isn’t supposed to,  lol. I started tanning a few days ago, burned the heck outta myself yesterday, and am paying for it today by staying inside. Not a great way to go to Vegas in a couple of weeks!

But all kidding aside, I love the color you chose. Maybe gradually going darker is the better step, then they can get used to seeing your hair dark, little by little. And I know family means so much, because let’s face it they do or you wouldn’t have cared if they liked it or not. =D I would go for it!

I love the dark hair on you, and while I’d lean in that direction again (instead of blonde), I’d go for a warmer, lighter shade than that last picture of you.

I would definitely not go the icy blonde, if you want my opinion (I am not a stylist and really shouldn’t be giving out information that I am not really.. inclined for..) but I think the icy blonde was a little too light for you. I would go the darker route, especially since it will be a beautiful contrast to that delicious wedding gown. I won’t be red for the wedding, in fact once I get to my optimal shade of dark again, I will be going back to my chocolate tresses, but adding in highlights of caramel and lowlights of toffee and hazelnut. Warm and delicious, l like a brownie swirl, haha!

But all joking aside, I have been doing my hair for years, and red can be hard to keep. There are so many rules. You have to wash it in luke warm water, you have to rinse it in cool water, you have to use a mild shampoo or one specifically for red tones. It isn’t worth it, but it looked more natural on me since I had become translucent over the years, lol. They say for pale skin, the lighter shade of red and coppery colors look better, but those for natural tans and olive complexions, the darker colors go best. And when I do tan, I do have olive skin. 🙂

I personally think you should go after that dark hair, you were definitely a Queen Bee in that pic! <3

I think I’d like it your natural color best.  By The Way… I finally figured out the secret to getting rid of orange hair.  PURPLE SHAMPOO!!!!  Apparently the blue tones are the first to leave your hair when you get it dyed, leaving the orange there.  Any sort of purple shampoo or dye will turn your hair back into that ashy color (Without the green tones, I promise!)  I’m just using one that I got at our beauty supply store.  I leave it in while I’m shaving my legs (about ten minutes), and it gets rid of all the orange.  Anyway, if you’re gonna get your hair dyed, this is a good way to keep it that color for several weeks.

I think LC’s colour would look great on you. I think the dark looks really nice as well.

I can’t see the pictures but if your hair keeps going orange i’d try the darker look!

@mattsgirl813:  I would go to a really dependable hairstylist and try to meet somewhere in the middle, like the first picture.  My hair is naturally really dark brown and at this point it’s close to the color in your first picture.  I’ve definitely had the same problems as you though, where it starts to pull orange or a funky color.  The hairstylist I have now is great though.  I pay a little more than I would want, but I’m never disappointed in my hair.

If you were debating between the really light blonde and the dark hair, I think the dark hair looks better on you.
