I got my hair trial done yesterday and just hated it. I really want to just do my hair myself because I know how I like it. I have posted the pictures below (note that I can make my curls look better, I am just wanting you to get an idea of the curls but mainly look at how it is pinned. My Maid/Matron of Honor things it looks bad and not fancy enough. Is it really that big of a deal to have bobby pins showing??

I thought about doing decorative bobby pins but since it is going to be pinned on both sides I was nervous that it would look awkward with a pretty bobby pin on both sides.
I know there is a way to hide the bobby pin in the hair but it was challenging for me and also felt like it wouldn’t stay all night.
Thank you, Bees!!!!!! <3

I don’t think it looks bad but it does look a tad informal for your wedding day. Like I’ve worn my hair like that to the grocery store.(But I also don’t know any details about your wedding so it could be a hundred percent appropriate.)
I think it all just depends on what kind of look you’re going for.

Sorry bee this does not look like wedding hair and I hope you don’t pay someone to do this. Most good hairstylists can hide every bobby pin. I literally had like 50+ and you couldn’t see a single one. Your stylist needs to put more effort or do it yourself.

I think it depends on what you want. For my wedding, I could have done my hair, and I did do my own makeup, but I had a vision in my mind for my hair that I knew I couldn’t accomplish. If your vision for your wedding day is to have your hair as pictured, then do it yourself. However, if you think you’ll regret not having something more special/unique for your special day, then have someone else do it and give them inspo pics. It doesn’t have to be a professional hairstylist either; I had a friend do my hair and it was really pretty.

Sorry, is this the hair you got done by a professional, or is this just how you normally do your hair yourself?

This is how I want to do it for myself!

I don’t really think it looks like wedding hair. Looks more like running to class/grocery store hair, cute but casual.

Well, you have lovely hair, so the good news is you can’t go wrong. Unless your wedding and the look you are going for is quite informal however, I would go with something more structured/formal. I bet if you showed a hair stylist what you did and said you want that general look, they’ll be able to do it in a very polished way.

It doesn’t look very good, sorry. I agree with a PP that it looks like running to the grocery store hair, not wedding hair 😐

I like the style somehow. But maybe with more decorations?

I agree with mostly everyone else. It’s cute but not really bridal. Right now you have zero volume and a pretty noticeable halo of frizz. The bobby pins look very casual also which may not match the formality of the event.

What did your hair trial look like?

It looks like everyday hair and theirs nothing wrong with that but your going to be whering a wedding dress and taking lots of pictures. Weather can really mess with hair lose volume, make curls fall flat, frizzy hair etc. Your probably going to be stressed out enough with the wedding do you want to have to add to the pressure of doing your hair. I would either go back or try someone else tell them what you don’t like what you do maybe they can help come up with a dressier version of how you do your hair.

I’d jazz it up with an accessory or veil or flowers.
