    @subola:  it really depends.  Are they getting their makeup done as well?  also if she is a professional she should be able to tell you how long it takes her to do an updo.

    My stylist is super slow, so I voted no. She took almost 2 hours to do my hair for my bridal portraits. BUT it was perfection.

    Note:  they are just going for simple updos and plan to be showered and hair dryed etc. before the stylist arrives.

    Tell them not to wash their hair for at least a day before! It’s best for hair to be styled that way.

    I’d ask the stylist.  Some hair is more work, some easier.  But, really, the stylist is the only one who knows how she works.

    It depends on how much hair they have. Mine is super long and very curly. For an updo it took over and hour. And the stylist worked straight through.My sisters with straight hair, a little past the shoulders took maybe 30-40 minutes each. That’s just styling no washing or drying.
