I’m 26.5 weeks along and was just sharing some u/s pics from my appt this morning with some family and one person said he looks bald (in a joking way). I was thinking…well yeah…how are you supposed to see hair on an u/s anyway? So of course I started googling u/s pics and they say you can see it and that it looks like blades of grass. Do you think he has hair in this pic? I think that white stuff on the top of his head looks like hair but not sure. Any of you bees have experience with this? Thanks!

@mrshersch74: Yeah, I won’t be doing a 3D either. Just hoping this kid is born with hair! Guess I’ll find out soon enough. Next time I go in for a regular u/s I’ll ask the tech if she sees hair. Didn’t even think to ask!

I just had an regular u/s on Saturday and she said my little girl had hair – it did look like blades of grass now that you mention it. I can’t upload the pic – when I make a scan/copy you can’t see what I’m talking about. But definitely ask the technician next time, they will know!! I’m also having a girl so maybe that’s why she mentioned it.

@crystlrox: Congrats on your little girl! I will definitely ask next time. I find my technologists are not very chatty…I understand they’re working and concentrating so I can’t blame them. But I just keep asking questions like “What’s that?” and “Does that look normal?”…”Can you confirm again that it’s a boy?”. I’ll be sure to add the hair thing to my list of questions next time!

Yes that blade of grass looks like hair. We had a regular ultrasound also at 36 weeks and the tech said our little girl had a lot of hair floating in the fluid.
