I have reached out to two different people, one for hair and one for make up. They take 5-10 days to reply on each email. I understand they are busy and have hectic schedules. So I am wondering if that is a normal response time for most of the hair & and make up stylist or should I be worried that they may not be very dependable?
I have yet to sign the contract with either one and while I do get a good vibe from these two stylists I wonder if their response time is a bad sign. Figured I would ask about other’s experiences.

@Jeanbride14: That seems like a long time for a response. I know it can be frustrating – one of my vendors takes forever to get back to my emails, but my makeup artist and dj have always replied within 24 hours at most (unusually quick).
Have you tried calling them instead? I am so not a phone person but a lot of people just aren’t very connected with email etc. so perhaps the phone would be their preferred method of communication.

I have the same problem with my hair and makeup vendors – and when I was shopping around for quotes originally some of the women were taking over a month to get back to me! In the end I always just ring up and it seems to work better than email for them.

I am going on 2 weeks for hair and 3 weeks for makeup — still waiting on contracts which they both agreed to email. Email is just the best form of contact for me and I would think they’d be intersted in locking the date. So I decided to look elsewhere and I found a pair that responds quickly and are very attentive. To top it off they have great reviews on all the wedding sites. I thank you all for taking the time to respond!! 🙂
