mangosandcats:  Heat from hair setting/curling can cause your makeup to melt, cake, or shift. I would do your hair first.

mangosandcats:  I did my hair first, but some of my BMs did makeup first due to logistics. The makeup artist started doing makeup at 7 am, so some girls weren’t able to do their hair until later.

mangosandcats:  We did hair first, and I definitely wouldn’t do it any other way. I was doing an updo, so I wasn’t at all worried about it falling or getting limp beforehand. My makeup, however, totally would have melted off my face by the time the wedding started if I’d done it beforehand. I already had to touch it up a ton.

My hair person said she would do all the curling and get my hair ready then the makeup artist can do her thing. Then all my hair person has to do is pin it up.

mangosandcats:  I don’t know if it’s possible, but can you reschedule the makeup person to around the same time the hair person can come?  I think that’s what my sister did at her wedding. She had her hair and makeup done at the same time.  I got married in Cabo a few weeks ago and the same girl did my hair and makeup, but she did my makeup first and then my hair. It was pretty hot in Cabo and my makeup looked fine 3 hours later when the ceremony started.
