I’m allowing my bridesmaids to do their as they wish, its a fall wedding (October 13th). I can’t decide if they should have something in their hair. I was thinking the mini gems/rhinestones, a clip (fallish of course) or the glitter sporadicly (not a lot) through out their hair to just jazz it up a bit. They have plum dresses with a one shoulder strap that has a flower on the strap. I dont want a flower in their hair, as its not a summer or spring wedding. I’m really having a hard time with this.

I would go with a simple hair barette. You could even buy some old antique broaches, and glue them to hair combs, so each girl has their own unique hair decoration.

Personally I wouldn’t put anything in their hair. It is their hair, let them style as fit.

@kaitie88: My bridesmaids are all wearing different dresses and having their hair styled differently and they brought up the fact that maybe a hair-piece that matched would make them stand out more as bridesmaids so I made a hairclip for the that kind of goes with the one I’m wearing so that there’s a distinguishing feature for them at the reception. I wasn’t going to but since they asked I decided to, but it’s up to you and your girls.

You could even go with a simple hairband. We did a thin gold one from Icing, and it tied everyone’s hair together even though they all did their own.
