I feel like I get them ALL the time, maybe a few times a month. It’s usually something that looks like FH’s beard hairs, dark and short and coarse, and STUCK IN MY FOOT.
Today I got the worst splinter of my life, so deep and painful that every time I touched it trying to get it out, I felt myself start to sweat. I’ve never felt anything like it. When I finally pulled it out, it was quite clear – IT WAS HAIR AGAIN.
How does hair get inside my skin? I have fairly tough feet, too, I go barefoot a lot and always have. I never even knew it was possible until like a year and a half ago and ever since it’s been a constant deluge. (It wasn’t always those hairs either, back then it was usually cat hairs.)
Does anyone else get splinters only to discover it’s a piece of hair? Is anyone else confused about how that even happens?
