I feel like I just read a post that I wrote!  I have very fine hair.  I really wanted to wear it down but mine doesn’t hold a curl at all!  Here were some of my hairspiration pics

I’m actually doing an updo with twists going into it and the bun will be with curls.  I have somewhat fine hair, and my stylist is putting a styrofoam donut or a small washcloth/sock under my hair to give it some volume.  Apparently it’s a trick of the trade.  Here’s a pic from my hair trial; it’s a suuuper rough draft so there will be more than those 2 twists going into the bun.  The bun will also be curly, so use your imagination a bit! 🙂

ETA: In this photo there is a washcloth under the bun; it won’t be this big on the actual day since the styrofoam ring is a bit smaller.

I have the same problem! Even when my hair is teased to have more volume, it falls down pretty quickly.

I love how the braids look, but I feel like braids make hair seem like it’s even thinner, if that makes sense. They’re not voluminous and they just pull the hair down…I don’t know, just my opinion!

Also, one hairspray that I use when I do my hair curly (it’s naturally curly) is John Frieda aerosol hairspray. It freezes my hair in place, and it’s the only way that I can manage to keep volume! You ladies might want to give it a try!

I’m also doing some clip in extensions that my hair stylist has.  It’s just going to add some more volume for me

I would love to see pictures of hairstyles like this, too!  My hair’s really thick and straight, and pics of what people have done would be very helpful.
