I received a call on my cell phone a few minutes ago from my hairstylist. She is the only one who has cut or colored my hair for the past 5 years, and have referred her very highly. Fiance even gets his hair cut with her too.
She has informed me that she quit the salon, and now plans on working from home. This is the fourth salon she has been at since I have been with her.
This makes me a little nervous, only because for the wedding, I have booked appointments with her for myself, my bridesmaids, and our mothers, so 9 people. I am assuming now she plans on doing all of our hair herself….
What would you do? Ask if she plans on having assistance? She told me on the phone she could definitely still keep the appointments, and we could still do the trial next month as we had discussed,
Ugh. I’m not going to lie, I am a little nervous.

I would just confirm timelines with her and ask who will be assisting her. There’s no possible way she could do all of you herself. I’m sure it will be fine. In fact, it will likely be a lot more relaxing if she’s working from home rather than dealing with the hub-bub of a salon! If she’s worth following around from salon to salon, she’s worth giving another shot at your trial.

@bakerella – Thanks, excellent advice. I think I just needed some reassurance. I’ll call her and ask about who will be assisting her the day of. She really is worth traveling around for. She’s been amazing the past few years.
Thanks again 🙂

I would have freaked if she hadn’t have called! She sounds like a good stylist who’s loyal to her clients and commitments. A great stylist is hard to find, I’d stick with her 😉
