I’ve been trying to get some picture inspiration for my hair & makeup trial at the end of the month. I really don’t want my hair all up so I was thinking half up & half down, which is my go-to hair for any formal occasion. I attached a picture of the front & back of my dress, and a picture of hair that I like. Please give your opinion or any picture suggestions! Thanks!!

i LOVE that hair with your dress. That looks all down though?
Are you wearing a veil? I find all down looks weird with a veil (and its hard to get the veil to stick), so thats something to keep in mind. If you want a veil I’d lean towards a half up so you can pin the veil.

Half up half down is what you’re comfortable with, and I think it would work fine with your dress, so go for it!

That dress is lovely on you. How do you normally wear your hair? I’d do something close to that.

tduck1 : I normally wear it all down, as I don’t really like my face showing lol. I do want some curls but feel that it may not be “special” enough for my wedding?

I think it’s how you feel more comfortable with it! Since there will be tons of photos, I had the same wedding dress and I wore it up because I like the way the back looks, but it depends a lot if you like how you look with it! Have a hair trial and depending on that you can choose.

I did something like this for my wedding. I had an illusion back so I didn’t want it covered but I didn’t want my hair in an updo. It was too long and heavy and I found it uncomfortable in my hair trial. So I switched to this and it worked perfectly.

You look beautiful! I usually dislike all down hair looks on brides. I just think it winds up looking too casual. Plus, if you have your hair down in every day life, it’s nice to change it up for the wedding day and be a little different (I always have my hair down and wore an updo for my wedding!) I think a half up/half down is a great compromise and gives you a little more freedom to make the style look “special” as you mentioned.
Something like this would be very pretty!

Are you going to be all hot with your hair down? I also don’t like hair down with veils.
My wedding was in the winter and I had it half up half down. I wear my hair up all the time for work and down when I’m not so the half up was for me a good compromise. I had the front twisted and the rest curled and was surprised at how well it stayed. I did not wear a veil though.
My hair was very similar to my inspiration picture, but with more of the sides twisted back.
