I had my hair trial today. I think that it turned out great. There are just a few tiny tweeks I am going to make for the day of because of the way it looked with my veil but other than that all is good. What do you think?! Now the question of whether to do a flower or no flower….
but to the back and the not the side
With feather flower:
ETA: flower would only be for reception only and I do have a fur stole with a brooch I will also be wearing (mostly for photos outdoors though)

The trial looks awesome! Personally, I’d go with no flower because your hair is so elegant as it is, plus you’re wearing a veil, so that might be too much..

I love it! (But I might be biased because it is quite similar to how I wore my hair, even with a flower clip!).

i personally think that the flower is too much for your hairstyle. The hair has the wow factor already and i think adding the flower would be over kill. Maybe a small haircomb like the 3rd inspirational pic has would be a better suit

Are you wearing the veil the entire reception? You could always put the feather flower in when you take the veil off. However, I do agree with PP that it is a little big. Your hair is so gorgeous- don’t cover it up too much!

I think that something in your hair could be pretty, but it needs to be much smaller than the feathered piece you’ve got. Something smaller like in your inspiration photos that compliments but doesn’t overwhelm your hairstyle – which is gorgeous!!!!

Thanks for the input!
I will be wearing the veil ONLY for the ceremony. It is a SUPER long veil and I wouldn’t be able to keep it on for the most part even if I wanted to.
I wanted something in my hair and I chose a feather because it kind of went with my reception ( I have feathers in the centerpieces and my cake topper is a feather), however I also don’t want to take away from the hairstyle.

I voted no.. I like it as is!

What about something like this fascinator? It is smaller but still has some feathers and a vintage feel.
