I’m getting married out of town as well, and I’ve decided NOT to have a local hair trial before heading to the destination. I’m planning on having my hair trial 2 days before the wedding… and I’m hoping that will be enough!

I live in Boston but am getting married in San Diego, so we’re in the same boat! What I did was choose someone with a very good online portfolio that showed several examples of the look i’m going for. At least then I can point to a picture of something she’s done before and say “Make me look this awesome!!” 🙂

I’m also in the same boat–glad I searched the topic before making a new post… I will be in Clearwater only 3 days before the wedding– still trying to decide if I want to do a trial run the day we arrive or not… I really don’t want FH to see my hairstyle– but I hate to pay the $$ and not atleast leave it in for a few hours.. I also hate to pay what a local salon would charge for an updo in town…

I’m in the same situation but I was lucky enough to be in my hometown (where the wedding will be) a few weeks ago to have a hair trial.  However, I was not a big fan of how my hair turned out and am now contemplating having a second trial close to where I live.  I know this seems odd, since obviously whoever does my hair here won’t do it for the wedding, but I figured that way I could see if the general style (down and curly, instead of up) looks good on me.  So I guess it’s more of a trial for the style than for the stylist.

Good luck!

for those of you who had a trial done at a salon close to home–did they give you a discount or did they charge you for a full updo/style??
