I’ve been on wedding burnout all week. Just re-reviewed what I’ve already printed out and looked at Pinterest for more ideas.
I hope my stylist is open to possibly trying two ‘dos. I can’t decide if I want my hair up or down.
Argument for down: Hair is down to my waist, which it’s never been before nor will be again. The hairstyle just needs to survive from the 8:30am appointment to 3:15pm when we take off in the limo.
Argument for up: We’re getting married on a boat outdoors, the style is more likely to hold up well if my hair is contained and shellacked into place. Might be more successful creating an illusion of volume that I don’t actually have.
I’m bringing some roses with me as well to see if we can incorporate those, as I’m not wearing a veil.

@jsanford: I hope it goes well for you!

It went all right, here are some pictures. I didn’t have time to pick up the roses so we used paper flowers to get the idea. I’m not wearing a lick of makeup in these photos.
The front–I didn’t like the photo we snapped in the salon. Pardon the bathroom mirror shot.
Left side, and…
My hair is a challenge as it’s both fine and not at all thick, plus I have a high forehead. My bangs will be a little shorter (getting a cut a week before) and curled out just a bit from my forehead; we didn’t do anything with them today.
My first thought was that I looked like a photo of my grandmother in the 1940’s, but it grew on me. I have a long face so we didn’t want to get the top poofed up too much.
