Had my hair trial today. I’m really not sure about it.. I think it’s the height of the ‘do that bothers me. That, and I wanted simple.. Like just a regular bun at the crown of my head with maybe a few curls on the edges. So I’m not sure if I’m just feeling this way because it wasn’t what I anticipated, or if I really don’t like it…
Also, I’ve always had sideswept bangs until my stylist said I should grow them out for the wedding. I like the simplicity of not having to worry about them on wedding day, but I feel like my face needs bangs to look balanced.
Honestly.. what do you think?

I can’t see the pic? But I know how you feel, I hated my trial for the same reasons and am back to the drawing board! I even went in with pictures of a simple, low, Carrie Underwood bun, and ended up with Bride of Frankenstein height…

I think it looks really nice and classic. do you have a pic of what you were going for?

Hopefully the pics work now. That stinks 🙁 Are you going to do another trial?
And this is what a pic of what I was wanting more or less..

I think it’s lovely and it is simple in my eyes….but you are the bride and if it doesn’t sit right speak up and let them know what you want. Either way it’s lovely!

It’s simple and classic…I think it looks nice, but it all boils down to what you are looking for…if you *really* liked it, you would know right away.

I think all they need to do is make the bun a little higher. I think your bangs look perfect, I would not grow them out….looks great as is!

It’s very simple. Maybe a little more height/volume in front/on sides? It’s very pretty on you but I’m not sure it’s a “wedding” style. Ultimately if you don’t like it, ask them to try again.

I think the front looks really great- don’t grow out your side bangs!!!
It does look a bit different than your inspiration picture. I agree you might want the bun a little higher on your head. The back has more detail on your trial (with the twists) than your inspiration, and I think both look great- you just have decide which you prefer and make sure you get what you want.

I think its gorgeous- I really like it! I actually want to use your pic as inspiration for my hairdo 🙂

I think what she did looks nice but it is not at all what you want. If you want a high bun– do a high bun and don’t leave until it looks right! 🙂

It’s very classy. It’s simple but not too simples.

Thank you so much bees 🙂 I think it must just be that it wasn’t what I wanted. That and the hair spray/teasing! I had never had my hair “done” before, so maybe that’s it, but it felt and looked like a helmet. You can’t see it in these pics because there wasn’t much of a flash, but Future Mother-In-Law took pics of me wearing the dress later and you can see where it’s all ratted underneath and stiff and icky on top. But even with all the spray, it all fell down in an hour! Think I’ll do it myself so I don’t have wedding day worries and I don’t have to spend an hour combing out a rats nest again on my wedding night!
