So I saw a hair style I thought would be perfect for me and now that I had a trial done I’m not sure I like it. I don’t know if there’s a slight ajustment I could make or if I just need to come up with a completely different style. I’m attaching the trial pics and my dress, in case it helps. I’m wearing a chapel length veil and have a lot of sparkly hair clips. I’m afraid with a down hairstyle, I wouldn’t get to use the clips.
How I had my hair during engagement photos:

I love the back, but instead of the plait, I’d do a sort of sweeping thing like this…

I understand why you’re hesitating – They didn’t give you any real volume around your crown. You can see in your engagement photos that you have some height and body in the style, but not so much with the trial they gave you today. I like the back, but I’d suggest modifying the front to include a bit of poof! 🙂 You’ll be beautiful no matter what though – that’s a lovely wedding dress!

The front looks a little harsh, although it might help if you were smiling. You are so gorgeous in your engagement pics, and this hairstyle is not doing much for you.

I think it’s too flat in the front and the crown. Your hair in your engagement photos is so much more flattering on you.

You need more volume for the front to work, it is being pulled too tightly on your head- especially in the front. I like the idea of the braid but I would start over and look at hairstyles with more volume in the front. I do like the back, but maybe consider not pinning all of it up? You look so lovely in the engagement photos that I think it would suit you better.

Thanks guys. So definitely doing something different with the front!

Yes, it’s nice but I agree with MORE volume!

I like it. It looks beautiful.

Agreeing w/PPs. Back = gorgeous, front = not flattering. Love your engagement pics, and the inspiration pic rendezvous89 posted. Beautiful dress, you’re going to look great on your wedding day!

I think the braid may look better if it framed your face a bit more and swooped down rather than up. Close to the shape of the swept front on the pic shown by Rendevous89. I also agree that a little more height around the crown couldn’t hurt. With a gorgeous gown like that you need to bring on the oomph <3 Maybe something a little different like this? The back of your style is gorgeous as is in my opinion and I love the idea of sparkle clips.

The back, looks quite nice, but don’t really like the front. Needs to be softer with a bit of lift. Looks a bit harsh like a school braid from the front, no offense intended.

I like rendezvous89:
idea, especially with there some hair still being down, I think this type of thing would suit you.

I think hair mainly down or a mix of up and down would shot your face better. Its too harsh and honestly, the back looks a little messy and undecided. Its confusing things. I would definitely rethink and try someone else!
