So, I had my hair trial yesterday and would like to know what people on the bee think, considering my mum was quite underwhelmed by it, and I could tell she didnt like it. I have long, but fine, hair. I said originally I wanted quite an intricate plait (Think Khaleesi GOT) and then the rest down and wavy. However, my hair wasnt thick enough to do a half up half down with the kind of braiding I wanted, so I went for a more simple plait. I may or may not wear a veil but either way I will have a few simple flowers in the braid. I rarely wear my hair up as I just don’t feel comfortable so didn’t think my wedding day was the day to start experimenting!
And here are some inspiration pics:
I would like my hair to look thicker/fuller on the day and the hair stylist said it would anyway as she would use rollers on my hair as well as tongs instead of just the tongs at the trial. She also suggested using extensions for a bit of volume too but i’m unsure… I want to change the front a bit but that is easy enough, it is more the back I want opinions on. Do you think this is too plain, or messy? I think that is what my mum thinks from her reaction so just want to know what others see!

Proinceas: I think it looks very similar to your pics. I would agree that you need more volume, maybe extensions arent a bad idea.
Overall, very pretty!

I like it! Clip I’m extensions will make a huge difference, and an added bit of volume might give the wow factor you’re after. Ask your stylist for recommendations, my hairdresser was able to source mine with a corporate discount!

Love love love it! If I had long hair, I would want it like that

Love it as is. Though for a wedding it needs to be jazzed up with some florals.or.something.

I love the last picture you posted. The first ones are good for everyday hair I think but like everyone else said, you need a bit more oomph for the wedding.

I love it! I dont think you need more volume but if you wanted to add some florals that would look great too!

I love it! Your hair is amazing already, but personally I’m doing extensions to add length and fullness. It doesn’t look like you need it though, you’ll look great either way!

Proinceas: add some flowers and maybe a little more bounce and you are good to go. I also hate wearing my hair up. I actually wear it up all week long and in a bun at work so for my wedding it’s going to be a half up do. Like you said It’s not the time to experiment. If you like it as it leave it. I definitely think the flowers or some floral pins will change the entire look. What did your hair stylest suggest for hair accessories?

Proinceas: I think it’s pretty! But to be honest, it looks like something a regular person could do after reading a couple of Pinterest tutorials and practicing some. If you’re paying the hefty pricing for “bridal hair,” I think either it should be more intricate, or you should look into having a bridesmaid or someon else do your hair for you.

I second the clip-in extensions! Your hair looks nice, but more volume with this style might be better.

I think you should definitely add some extensions (not for length, but for volume) and have curls that are more curly, like your inspiration pictures, than beach waves. It kind of looks like music festival hair now. Maybe your hairstylist can tease the braid a little so that it looks thicker (pulling apart each of the plaits a little) and fakes you having more hair!

I agree re adding extensions for fullness. I would also consider getting a trim as this will help the ends to appear more full. Also definitely add some florals.
I *love* this look, btw! Gorgeous.
