This was like the 4th style the hair dresser tried. So it will of course look nicer on the actual morning of the wedding because she won’t have to take my hair out and put it up again 4 times lol. She gave me some good advice too… take an asprin or something because she teased the heck outta my hair… being a girl sucks sometimes haha! Also, ignore my stupid facial expressions 🙂

First, I love your hair color! Gorgeous. Do you have naturally curly hair? She may need to do a total blow out and get it very straight before styling because there’s some bumps & the loops in the back aren’t uniform. It’s a good starting point but needs some polishing in my opinion.

Thank you! Yes, it’s naturally curly. We talked about that… I came in with it curly so like you said it’s bumpy and what not but when i go the morning of I am going to go with my hair blown out 🙂 … Thank goodness I did the trial so i knew these things! But I agree it’s a good starting point and I’m excited because I know it will look way better on the actual day!

I’m sorry to say I don’t love it =o/ The back curls seem kind of randomly placed rather than having a design to the hairstyle, and I don’t like how the front of your hair is pulled straight across… it looks a little too… unnatural? It looks like it was hairsprayed until it just stuck to your forehead.

I don’t like the slicked back piece in the front- it looks so harsh compared to the loose styling on the rest of your head. There are a few curls in the back that also look like they might bust loose, too.
I do like the poof and size, and your hair color is beautiful. Maybe an off center part going further back on your head would look better.

Hm.. aside from just looking unpolished, it just doesn’t really do anything for you. I’m not loving it. After 4 trials if this is the best you got from her I’d think about a new hairstylist. You have a couple weeks until the wedding, so maybe start looking around for another stylist? This one doesn’t look like they know what they’re doing. What did you give her for guidance?

@MadameTussaud: +1
I also think it looks kind of plain in the front…maybe needs more going on around your face?

There was a lot of hair spray in my hair by the time we came to this. Did have an insiration pic, just knew I wanted it back, low and curly. We tried it without the bang and it didnt look right so the actual morning, I will either get them cut so they do the side swoop or there will be more volume to them. Also, the curls will be more uniform because my hair will be blown out rather than curly and this was the product of 3 hours of trial and error… glad I went!

@a_marie13: You shouldn’t excuse how it looks because it took 3 hours to create that updo! You’re going to be wearing an updo for 8+ hours on your wedding day- it should look fantastic at your trial.

Needing it to stay in for 8+ hours isnt a concern. What I meant was it was put up and taken down because it wasn’t quite what I wanted. They were very accomodating and did what i asked but what i had in my head and what I was seeing on my head weren’t the same. So after the hairspray and curls and bobbypins over the course of 3 hours my hair doesnt and it’s going to look perfect especially when I came in with it already curly/wavy. The hairdresser and I discussed it and there will be changes made, but this is the basic gist of how it’s going to look. If someone thinks maybe a different type of style would be better please post pics! I’m def up for other options!

I have to agree with some of the other posts, I really don’t like the slicked piece in front. I don’t think that ever looks good on anyone, and the curls do seem too random in back. However, ditto on the color. Very pretty red!!! Would you be ok if they just pull it all back into curls, or maybe do a few curls to frame the face in front? I think that would be really pretty. Maybe leave it a little curly on top like the picture below? Should be easy for your hair to hold it if it’s naturally curly.
