What if you do looser curls like this:

And clean up the back a little bit like this:

Sweet mother I think these pics are huge

I like the tighter curls much better. Do you have bangs? I would suggest an off-center part (or wherever you usually part your hair), pull back a bit of the top, and pouf it up. That’s actually how my hair was and I really liked it! You can kinda see it in this picture. I didn’t like the straight pull back either, I always need something around my face — maybe she can cut some layers in the front and you can have them curled and around your face?

I think the tighter curls look nicer, but I love love the first pic

@SweetDeeReynolds: posted, and you wouldn’t necessarily need bangs to pull it off. Given that your hair looks nice in curls, I think that’d be a great style to try out!

I think the tight curls look great, plus they’ll probably loosen a little over time.  What about a side or middle part with a twist, like this?

I’m a big advocate of not fighting our hair’s natural instincts on the big day. Like for me, attempting to flat iron my hair straight would just be silly, as the pictures would reflect an ever-expanding/frizzing mane throughout the evening. If it will hold better up, then try it out that way. When you’re all gussied up with your dress and makeup your Fiance will think you are gorgeous whether your hair is up or down ๐Ÿ™‚

I think the curls look very prom-y now.  Even the looser ringlets are too tight, IMO.  I think the looser, wavier styles that PP posted would be good if you still want curls.  Don’t worry about Fiance saying he likes your hair down- he will think you look gorgeous no matter what.  If your hair doesn’t hold curl well, I wouldn’t fight it on your wedding day (ie: the day where your hair will need to stay put for hours and you’ll have thousands of pictures taken).
