hello! so to be quick…i have posted about losing a lot of weight in the past year…i have lost 230 lbs as of today since may of last year.
so, my dress is all lace and because of the weight loss i am having lace sleeves made (very saggy skin on my arms). so it is alot of lace for one dress. because of this i decided to not wear a veil and just use hair extensions. They still need to be colored by my stylist to match my blonde. i was wondering what your thoughts are.i was hoping the extensions would hide my flabby back a bit.
this was justt the trial, so it will be a bit more polished and the curls blended more a bit. i also attached a picture of my hair as it is normally, without extensions.
not sure if i should go with the long extensions, have them cut shorter???

Congratulations on your weight loss! For the hair, I would recommend the curls being a little loser. It is hard to get the curls from sticking together but if you can get them from sticking together, it will add a lot of volume. Overall, you look beautiful!!
Edit to add: I like the length!

hmm… it’s hard to say since like you said, you haven’t gotten them dyed to match and they aren’t well blended at all. are they just clipped in? because i think if you sprung for getting a set sewed in and then cut/dyed it would look a lot more natural

congrats on the weight loss that is amazing and so inspiring!!! I LOVE the hair

WOWEE! CONGRATS on losing that weight. What an incredible accomplishment!
You’re beautiful, girl. I say do what makes you feel glamorous. The long extensions look good.
I’d say wear them long IF they’re comfortable for you, so if you have the clip ins, wear them for like 8 hours (or however long your wedding day will be) because sometimes when I wear clip ins, they start to irritate my head after a few hours. Just a thought.
Also- this is from my sister’s experience with extensions: unfortunately the day was a little rainy and there was a lot of humidity so her curls fell apart and the extensions didn’t blend very well by the time it was time to take pictures, and we forgot a curling iron… so my recommendation is to bring a curling iron in case of emergency. 🙂

The length is good, but to me it looks like your hair is fairly thick normally and that maybe you just need some more extensions in the back. It looks kinda sparse but otherwise good!

First of all~ CONGRATS on your weight loss! You look gorgeous!
I think that once your extensions are dyed to your color it will look better, but right now since it doesn’t match they are obviously extensions. Another thing I mght suggest, which I also did was wear my extensions in to my hair appointment and get a haircut with layers that makes them blend into my natural hair.
Aside from the color, I think that your style choice is BEAUTIFUL. Very romantic and classy!

First, congratulations! That’s amazing!!!
Second, considering your hair is clearly shorter in daily life, would you consider foregoing the extensions altogether? I don’t care for the way they look in their current state – even with them dyed and loosened up a bit, they’re still obviously extensions. It looks like your natural hair holds curl beautifully – maybe just use what you’ve got?

the more i look – maybe i should just go with my natural hair. i was trying to use the extensions to hide my back – but maybe natural is better. thanks everyone so much!

Agree with poster above about looser waves. I think you just need to run your fingers through it acouple times to break the curls up.

Congrats on the weight loss! I think your hair looks great, i would just be concerned that it would not hold through your wedding. If you aren’t worried about that, go for it!

I love it! You look so happy, esp. in that first hair trial pic. Dyed to match and loosened up a bit and it will be perfect 🙂
ps. Congrats on your weight loss, that is amazing!

First of all, major congrats on your amazing weight loss! That is so wonderful!
And second, I really like your hair overall. I think if you dye them closer to your natural hair color and loosen the curls a little, the extensions will blend more nicely with your the rest of your hair and look even better!
