Ok, those who commented on my previous hairdresser saying I was too tall for a bob… Thank you! I’m going to a new salon tomorrow and thought I’d just open it up to all suggestions as I’m still unsure. Just found this pic which is usefully my face shape and colouring…! What cut would you suggest?? I know the proposal is coming v soon (3 times this week: SO: “just checking you said size 5.25?” haha) and I want to look nice. Help!

@vorpalette: Ooh that’s lovely – good width – thank you! I am a bit of a straightening addict though so it would have to look good sleek too 🙂

@Stormchild: Her hair looks great straight. If you’re going to straighten it, I’d probably go with the longer one so that it brushes the tops of your shoulders when it’s straight, like this:

@Stormchild: you are not too tall for a bob. i dont think anyone can be too tall for one….. i think the lady probably just isnt any good at cutting them so she was trying to talk you into something else. i think a bob at an angle (kinda cut into an A-line where it is a little shorter in the back than it is in the front) and leave a nice point in the front. i think with your face shape you should leave it a little longer (around halfway between the chin and shoulder or you can even go to where it sits right on your shoulder) this will help elongate your face since the picture you posted you have more of a round shape to your face. here are a couple pics for example.
i like the length of this one but not the bangs.
this one is adorable notice she has a rounder shape face but it looks really cute on her.
hers is a little shorter but still in that area between the chin and shoulder. it is such a classic look i think you will look beautiful with your hair cut in a bob. you are doing the right thing by finding a different stylist. hope this helps and good luck. send us pics of what you choose 🙂

UPDATE: Turns out I am NOT too tall for a bob!! It looks awesome! Thanks everyone for giving me the guts to go for it. When it’s straight it sits just a touch above my shoulders, like the pic below but with a sweeping fringe. Oh and it turns out I have a square face. Who knew?!
Anyway, I LOVE it. Thank you!
