Do i have to provide this for my bridesmaids? I don’t expect to be demanding on how they look (besides the dress, which I am paying for), but will they expect me to cover their hair and makeup? That seems like a lot.

@orangeroses29: If you want their hair and makeup done, you should pay for it. If you don’t want to pay, let them do their own.

It depends on where you are. We don’t pay for any of that here. I’m East Coast and in my experience (being in and attending many many many weddings) generally the bride only pays for hair and make-up if she INSISTS the BMs have it done. Otherwise it’s up to the BM’s!
That’s nice you’re paying for the dress! I picked a $50 dress and am not paying for their hair or make-up, Only half are getting it done.

I told my bridesmaids that they could do their hair and makeup however they wanted and that I didn’t expect them to have it done professionally unless they wanted to. However, all of mine have opted to pay for it themselves and get their hair done by my hairdresser. They will be doing their own makeup, I will be having mine airbrushed by an MUA.

I paid for my own hair in every wedding I was in except 1. That is the norm here. I think if you want makeup to be professional then you should offer to pay. My sister wanted everyone’s makeup to be flawless & to photograph well so she paid an amazing makeup artist. It was worth every penny. The makeup was stunning!
