I’m kind of insecure about my chubbiness in my dress but I was wonder what kind of hairstyle would go best for a ballgown and my figure/face. What do you think? Show me your wedding hairstyles in ballgowns!
Sorry the picture uploaded sideways.
Edit: my hair is quite long. It does reach my butt! Lol

You look beautiful in your dress! I’m typicallt not an updo fan, so I would go for soft, side swept curls (its hard to tell how long your hair is).

FutureMrsBex : thanks! My hair is down to my butt lol I’ve been holding off on cutting it for the wedding!

gwing11 : Then definitely long curls!

Soft curls work best for people with very angular facial features as it helps to soften them, and it seems that your concern is just the opposite. I would suggest a hairstyle with a long, vertical line; a sleek, high updo would look beautiful. Long earrings with, again, a vertical line will also work.

I’m an updo or half-down fan myself, but I’m just commenting to say that that dress is STUNNING!! You look awesome!

gwing11 : first of… you look stunning in your dress!!!
I had an aline ball gown and did a low bun kinda loose with loose curls around my face for ceremony with a veil and for reception I took it out and it fell into nice curls 🙂

You look amazing!
I hate my hair up so I wore it down in a classic bouncy blowout. I got a lot of compliments on my hair.

You look gorgeous and not chubby at all!
I think updo or down will depend on your venue and time of year (e.g. outdoor wedding in August – you may find it is too hot to have long hair down). If it’s down, I would go with soft curls and a deep side part. If it’s up, I would make sure you have some soft curls framing the face. You have the same face shape as mine and I had several hairstylists tell me that if it is up, I should have pieces falling around the face to soften the roundness.

I went up but I have a different hair texture. Down I found my hair cut me up (it’s shoulder length). Definitely play with different styles. Eta I also did my hair myself so may have been more limited with my options!
