@eskimo929:  So funny, we have the reverse situation–I’m Haitian-American and my fiance is white!  I’ve actually been meaning to ask my parents if there are any special Haitian traditions we can integrate into our ceremony.  Oh and my mom LOVES Cremas–she just sent Mr. Mongoose’s parents a bottle of it for Christmas!  They also sent them plantains/banane and Barbancourt (the Haitian rum).  I know for sure my dad wants to bring up tons of bottles of Barbancourt up to Montreal for our wedding weekend for our many non-Haitian guests to try out 🙂

I’ll let you know if I find out any more about specific traditions!
