Hi bees! I’m running my first 1/2 marathon on Sunday! Yikes! I’ve done what I can in terms of training (well if I’m honest, probably less that I could have in perfect circumstances, but its too late to worry about that now!), I’ve been sleeping alot and eating really healthy for about two weeks, and I feel rested and ready!
Now I need music – i’ve been using the same playlist for my long runs and its getting a bit old. I have a few tunes I’ve timed approx to certain moments in the race (ie. starting 2km, a hill at about 11km, and the final 4km or so). Non-negotiables are Waving Flag, by Knaan, a bit of Kei$ha, and alot of Rage Against the Machine to get me pumped.
What songs do you run/exercise to? i’ve got 2:15-2:30 worth of time to fill, help me out bees!

GO GIRL!! I have 2 half marathons under my belt — love some Rage too! usually jam out to some dancy House Music — anything from David Guetta, Afrojack, & Chuckie should get you pumped! miles 8, 9, & 10 always suck for me — just keep the tunes flowing & ur good.. the rest is a piece of cake! Good luck!!!
oh, and buy some Shock Blocks to stay carbed up

Just one song that really gets me going is Harder, Faster, Stronger, Better – by Daft Punk. Or any remix. It’s not a whole playlist, but it’s a great work out song to push me harder!

Oohhh I love my running music 🙂 I LOVE Get busy living or get busy dying by Fall out boy. Cuz the chorus “I know this hurts, it was meant to….” Kanye West “Stronger”. My favorite from the last race I ran is “One more time” by Daft Punk. I heard it at about 1 mile to go and it made me smile and race to the finish! GOOD LUCK! You will do awesome 🙂
