My hair will be half-up and half down with a poof in the front. A picture of the back of my hair from the trial session is below. I bought a hair comb, the shape of which is shown in the other picture below – it’s not the exact comb, just the shape. I was going to have the comb under the back of my poof with the veil starting there as well. My veil is double layer, and I was going to have the veil go over my head when I walk down the aisle then take the veil completely off for the reception so my hair comb will definitely show.
I’m now having second thoughts because I keep seeing shots of girls with the hair comb/tiara in the front and I thought it might look good to see some bling from the front side since my dress has no bling on it and the only other bling will be my earrings and rings, bracelet, and shoes (which are covered by the dress anyway). I also thought it would look good because then I could move the veil up even higher on my head (I like that look a lot) but that probably means I’d have to get rid of the poof (which I kinda really want). On the other hand, I really like the idea of having the bling in the back of my head for the reception. I don’t want to switch the comb/tiara’s position from ceremony to reception either.
Writing this, now I’m thinking of sticking to my original plan. Does anyone have thoughts or a similar thought process they are going through for their own wedding?
