Oohhh I just read the Chewbacca comment, and I suddenly had a nice daydream about having a Halloween wedding and dressing up as all Star Wars character!  I think I let my imagination run away with me sometimes… hahaha.

Sironel – how funny, our weddings sound very similar!!!!! Only ours is 10/16/10, so we are sort of merging halloween and fall elements together.

We are from Cleveland, but our wedding is near Canton in a (get this) 1800’s old barn!!

Our colors are also orange and black…bridesmaids in black with orange flowers, groomsmen in black tuxes with black vests and orange ties! We are using calla lillies.

Our cake is actually cupcakes, we are having five different designs and flavors: ghost, black cat, jack-o-lantern, spiderweb, and three-eyed green monster!

We were going to have costumes, but decided against it because our wedding is sort of a destination (1.5 hours away from where everyone lives) and our guest list is fairly large (300+). Instead, we are having a photobooth with several costume boxes so guests can dress up for pictures =)

We are having a few Halloween-themed cocktails, Vampire’s Kiss and this pumpkin one as well as Pumpkin Ale and Hard Cider.

Our centerpieces and decor include tons of jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins and lanterns.

Our wedding party is doing a surprise choreographed dance to Thriller! (There are 18 of us, so this is a bit overwhelming at the moment, lol) We will be playing Halloween music during the cocktail hour as well!

We were going to do a candy bar, but we decided to go with a bonfire instead with s’mores.

Our letterpress invitations have a pumpkin on top.

Thats all I can think of right now, but all I can say is: Great minds think alike!!!!!!!!!!! Your wedding sounds like it is going to be amazing!!!!

Oh my gosh I would absolutely LOVE to go to a Halloween themed wedding!  If anyone you know needs a plus one… hint hint 🙂 (ummm jk I promise!)  We are getting married the weekend after Halloween, so sadly no themed stuff for us.  FI’s bachelor party will be in Vegas over the Halloween weekend though and last I heard, the groomsmen were talking about dressing him up as Snow White and they will be the Seven Dwarfs! 🙂
