Anybody wearing a costume straight out of their closet?
If I had a yellow dress I’d do the Morton Salt Girl
Or a mime would be pretty easy, though I don’t have white gloves or face paint
As another option I was thinking of doing a french girl, somethingl ike this:
but I don’t know what to wear on the bottom! Any ideas?
Anybody doing out of the closet costumes rather than purchased/bagged costumes?

very cute ideas! My friend did the morton salt girl this year as well. For work I pulled a costume right out of my closet. I’m dressed up as Holly Golightly. Little black dress, pearls, gloves and tiara.

Those are all great ideas! On Saturday, I went as a “fair weather fan.” I wore a Giants shirt and hat and a Cardinals jacket! Comfy and fun!

My Fiance was an old time gangster and I was his wife/flapper girl! All I did was buy a feather boa : )

I have red hooded wool cape that I went as little red riding hood one year. I had a red and white nightgown (not revealing) so I wore that and carried a basket. It was a cozy and easy costume. and of course pigtails.

I am! I’m going to be a piggy, just by sticking my winter hat on.
A couple of years ago I was Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd as a last minute costume. It was very easy, just a black dress and an apron (which I actually just made out of white fabric). Although since most people aren’t broadway freaks like I am nobody knew who I was 🙁

Ha, I pulled off the mime look myself today. I wore a striped shirt and black pants, unsure if anyone else would dress up. I brought my beret, but held off on putting it on because I didn’t have the makeup and didn’t want to look like a French person – as an ESL teacher, I thought dressing up as a cultural stereotype for my students wouldn’t be the best idea.
Once I saw people wearing costumes, I ran to the drug store and got some makeup. 5 minutes later, instant mime.
