So I realize I’ve got another 3 months or so to think about this, but I absolutely adore Halloween and being that this is going to be our first Halloween celebration in our brand new house- I can’t help but start planning for the party that this will be. The decorations, music, food, costumes- omg. It’s like another wedding, albeit a bit darker.
Any other Halloween fans out there that are as crazy as I am and already thinking of this year’s celebration? I’d love to share ideas.

Had Halloween fallen on the weekend this year we would have had a Halloween wedding. It’s our favorite holiday! That said, with all of the wedding planning I had forgotten we need to plan for costumes, especially since we will have guests coming from the UK early to experience Halloween in the US. We (halfway) jokingly tell them that it’s sluttier than Halloween in the UK.

I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and just the other day it occurred to me that I get to dress up a BABY for Halloween. I asked dh what he thought it should be and be pretty much just gave me a “for real? This is 3 months from now” look. So I’m glad others are ahead of the game too!

My mother was surprised when I decided against the Halloween wedding. I think if I did choose to go for it, her poor little heart would have caved it- but my husband isn’t THAT into it so I gave it up. It’s totally okay though, because I have decades of Halloween to make up for it!
And totally agree with you on the slutty costumes. I’ve certainly had my fair share- but as I get older, I just want the costume to be bigger and more full of life. Which is why I’m debating on making something similar to this for this year:

@missfrillycoat: I decided the other day that I am going to be a witch for Halloween and I’m going to dress my daughter up as a black cat (;

Haha I want my Boyfriend or Best Friend and I to do a couples costume but I have no idea what! But no, I don’t think this thread is too early. I mean, I JUST posted a thread about Christmas on the holidays board so you’re doing better than me lol.
Last year, I was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. And Boyfriend or Best Friend was a SWAT guy. Trust me, we made an odd pair at the Halloween party. So I am determined for this year to be different and for us to actually match! 😀

@SapphireSun: I KNOW!!! My baby will be like a month old, but I saw Cinderella dresses at Babies R Us that come in newborn size … haha I’m going to wait til she’s born to buy anything since I don’t know how big she’ll be and how long she’ll fit into newborn clothes, but I think that both baby and I will be princesses this year! And since I’ll be less than a month post-partum … yikes. Nothing too slutty for me. Haha.

@LadyBlackheart : Oh yeah, the manfriend and I have never matched and sometimes it makes it really weird.
@iarebridezilla: That is adorable. I never even thought about matching costumes with your babe…

Oooo! We love Halloween. We missed out on a friend’s annual Halloween Party last year because we were on our honeymoon. We were Pan Am pilot/flight attendant two years ago. I had to dig for Pan Am pins and things with their logos; and, I had to tweak a black suit to look like a pilot uniform.
I love baby costumes! *squeal*
Hmm…I have no clue what to do for this year, though. *thinking thinking*

OMG It’s my favorite holiday! Fiance, who hates couples costumes, actually agreed on doing Inspector Gadget and Penny with me. I don’t even know what our plans are!

@missfrillycoat: ME ME ME! Since we’ve moved into our new house all I can think of is where I will put certain decorations. I’m especially excited to decorate our bay window, fire place and stairway
