I used the Bassinest for my daughter for 3 months. After that we moved her to her pack n play in our room for a month before moving her to her crib in her room at 4 months. It worked fine for me. I liked the swivel feature, especially recovering from a C-section. The arm was harder to push down than I would like but it isn’t impossible. We moved her after 3 months because she was rolling into the sides and getting her face smushed a lot, so I thought she needed more room. I wasn’t worried because the mesh let her breath but it seemed like she needed more space. I plan on using it if we have another baby. And we never even bought a rock n play, although she would nap in her swing a lot. Always placed her flat on her back for night time though.

We used the Bassinest for Dear Daughter until she was 5 months old. I found the swivel feature nice and easy and I loved the collapsible side and the mesh. The one really annoying thing about it was the huge footprint the base takes up. I stubbed my toe on the base pretty frequently.
