Hello bees! Newbie here, nice to meet you. Let kick off conversation with a question I have been dying to ask, but found no information for….
I am very interested in halo style engagement rings. I adore the look of them. They are opulent, without being overstated.
I am a fairly modest girl. For my band, I hope to get a cobalt chrome, 2mm, comfort fit band. Why? It is durable -being harder and more scratch resistant than all other ring materials excluding tungsten- , it is beautiful -it mimicks the look of platinum- , and it is inexpensive -sure, it isn’t rare and doesn’t possess intrinsic value, but I won’t be pawning this baby. I intend to keep her- . It comes out to be a pretty, shining, white peice of solid, dainty jewlelry. A solid piece with no complicated shapes. Just a simple band, without diamonds or flair.
Why do you need to know this? This explains what exactly my question is. I hope you can see that I tend to be practical, and that I don’t care for a lot of flash.
So getting back to halo rings, I have noticed that they tend to have larger center stones. Most I have seen in online catalongs and in google image searches yeild huge rings with center diamonds that have carat weights of 1ct. or more.
I am interested to know if anyone here has a halo ring with a smaller center diamond? Please, post your pictures. I would really like to envision this on my hand.
I would like to see finger sizes ranging from 6-8. I am a 7 or 7.5 Haven’t found my perfect fit yet. I would also like to see halo rings with center diamonds coming in at less than a carat. The cut of the diamond is irrelevant. I prefer round brilliant, but I want to be open to other cuts. Cushion is also very pretty.
I may be barking up the wrong tree. They may not even market halo rings with smaller center diamonds, because that would clash with the surrounding diamonds. But hopefully I am wrong, and hopefully I find something more petite and understated.
Thank you for your help!
