@futuremrscjs:

1. Tilted/angled or flat? And when halos are “tilted/angled”, is it just the diamonds that are angled, with the base of the halo being flat? Or is the base of the halo curved to follow your finger profile?

-mines flat but a slightly higher profile

2. Holes underneath the diamonds in the halo or no holes? What is the point of the holes? Wouldn’t they just get dirt trapped in them?

-yep mine does have holes underneath but nothing a good baby toothbrush can’t handle.

3. Split claws vs shared claws – Any issues with split claw held diamonds falling out?

-my halo diamonds are rub set. No issues with diamond loss over a year later with constant  that wear including when I’m sleeping, showering etc. I think I’ve only had one day where I’ve not worn my ring.

4. Do halos catch on things?

– I’d say no more than any other ring in my case as halo is rub set

5. Any halo regrets? Or still in love with yours.

– my husband bought mine as he knows I like delicate, vintage rings. My ring looks floral and everyone asks if it’s antique. A real vintage looking ring. He picked it himself and I love it more than anything.

this is mine- the makers photo (diamond by appointment) because they’ve captured the vintage look perfectly and I haven’t quite managed to do so in my rather amateur photos!

My intricate double halo I’ve seen as called cascading, as it looks tiered. Below mine is open it actually makes for easier cleaning. My prongs are shared and some stones are also set as bezels. Zero regrets I love my ring. This is not my engagement ring, this was TJ make my first Mother’s Day 🤗. I’ll add a photo below so you can see finger coverage

I think mine is flat.

2. Holes underneath the diamonds in the halo or no holes? What is the point of the holes? Wouldn’t they just get dirt trapped in them?

No holes underneath. It probably depends on what size pave you choose. My is very tiny.

3. Split claws vs shared claws – Any issues with split claw held diamonds falling out?

I believe mine is called scalloped pave. There are grooves in the ring but two tiny prongs on each side of each stone.

4. Do halos catch on things?

Mine does not.

5. Any halo regrets? Or still in love with yours.

Absolutely no regrets!

6. Feel free to show me your halo engagement rings with overall dimension details of the finger coverage at the widest points.

The length is 9.76mm and the width is around 7mm.

1. My halo is tilted 25 degrees. It is not just the diamonds, the halo is angled as well. I asked for it to be made this way as I wanted to see the least amount of metal as possible.

2. I have an open basket setting. Makes it much easier to clean underneath the diamond.

3. My setting is u-cut micropave. They do not share prongs. No issues whatsoever with diamonds falling out. I also get my prongs checked and tightened at least once a year.

4. My halo doesn’t catch on things.

5. No regrets at all.

6. Dimensions are 8.21mm x 6.71mm

@futuremrscjs:  thanks it’s 17.1mmx14.7mm. I love the finger coverage it gives. And I forgot to add, it doesn’t get caught on anything.

@louisianagirl:  ohh thank you 😊that’s not my set as I pinched the photo( but it is gorgeous!).

I’ve gone for something much for plain 😊 a band made of two intertwining platinum wires. Figured I’d go for texture rather than compete with the engagement ring. Sorry, really poor photo!
