It’s new and I’m not sure if this is a one time thing or if it will keep happening? I absolutely love it, but I’ve ruined a couple things already so it’s kind of frustrating. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, was it only before it was fixed or did it keep happening?

you’ll get used to it and catch it on things less but your ring looks like all the diamonds are claw set as opposed to pave/micropave like many halos are. Mine doesn’t catch on things very often at all. I know the girl I work with has a band that looks similar to your ring in terms of the setting and she catches it all the time – she can’t wear tights/panyhose without ruining them.

I’m guessing it’s because your setting is very high. I’m sure you’ll get used to it over time, and you’ll compensate for its height.

My ring sits pretty high up al so a nd when I first got it, it caught on everything. I was also very frustrated at one point I wanted to just get a new ring. But then I just decided to try and get used to it I wore it 24/7 never took it off for weeks until I was used to it and then I stopped getting it caught on stuff (I hope that makes since lol) It’s been 5 months and I hardly ever get it caught on things anymore. I do scratch my Fiance from time to time though but that’s it. Just hang in there your ring is beautiful and I think over time you will get used to it and you won’t get it caught on things as much.

My prongs snag on things often. Not as much as in the begining, as I’ve adjust the way I do certain things over time. For example, I’ve gotten in the habbit of turning my ring around, so the diamond is on my palm side, whenever I put on a sweater or shirt that snags.

I know the claw prongs on my halo and the small prongs holding the halo diamonds snag on my sweaters sometimes. It’s just something that comes along with having a setting with small stones. You will get use to it and become aware that your wearing it and it won’t happen as often.

Mine seems to catch on stuff too. I seem to be picking little bits of sweater fuzz off the top of my ring quite frequently. I’ve only had my ring for 5 days though, so I’m hoping I just get used to it and learn to be more mindful of fabric it comes into contact with.

I didn’t have a halo, but what I did have was a ring with incredibly tall prongs and it took a good month for me to stop catching it on things. Even now, with having it for 8 months I still catch it on some things. You’ll eventually get used to it.

It’s u-pave…I’m not sure what that means other than a lot of the little diamond snag. It’s weird because not all of them do, which makes me think maybe it can be fixed. It’s so high that even if I turn it around it still might catch. I have to take it off to put certain things on.
I hope it stops and I try to wear it most of the time but I can’t wear it certain times so it’s hard to get used to it. I have other halo rings that catch on one prong and I can keep those from catching. This one is so high and catches in too many places it’s very hard. Hopefully I’ll get used to it..I’ve never had a ring quite so high either!
lol hopefully I’ll learn! I’ve only had it about 2 weeks.
yep sweafter fuzz or any fuzz gets stuck in it lol. It drives me crazy and I have to pick it out! My fiancé thinks I always just stare at it and doesn’t believe me that I’m checking for fuzz…maybe sometimes I’m just staring lol.

I have a halo and I’ve never had that issue…like some of the bees suggested, maybe your setting is to high?

It’s not the high diamond that catches though. Only the ones on the side. So I’m not sure. Some are smooth and some aren’t, I want to see if there’s any way a jeweler can fix it. They catch because a couple of them are rough or kinda sharp.

Don’t have a halo but my setting is very high (like yours). I was always snagging it on stuff so now I don’t wear it around the house/when getting dressed. I put it on when I’m walking out the door and take it off when I walk back in. I just had a 6-month check up on it and the jeweler said it was in absolute perfect condition and couldn’t believe Id had it for 6 months and it was still mint condition.
