The 6 prong solitaire with the tapered band in the solo solitaire picture! I think the tapered band is also something that looks nice on you versus the other one size band, that’s something I noticed right away between the pictures!

I’m definitely biased, but bezel all the way! It’s still super classic, but it feels sleeker and (in my opinion) more fashion-forward.

I didn’t try any rings on before my fiancé proposed, but when I was looking for rings, I just kept going back to bezels, so that’s what I told him to look for.

I wouldn’t worry about light return, mine sparkles like crazy, and I get compliments on it all. the. time – at work, at the grocery store, in the elevator. It’s not a moissanite, but they’re supposed to sparkle more than diamonds, right? So you should be all set! Especially with the open bottom with that setting. That’s what mine is like and it’s fantastic with light return since the bottom is completely open!

suzana :  Hi! I love the solitaire, but I am also biased. smile   I think the solitaire look is so classic, pretty and clean. Its great because you never have to worry about pavé stones falling out and won’t fall out of style.

Just because you mentioned it, I wouldn’t consider going too far under 2mm for your band unless you intend to baby your ring. I have a .9 ct and I love dainty jewelry so my original ring band width was 1.5 mm. When I had my stone reset, I requested a 1.8 mm band becuase I felt like the 1.5 mm would eventually warp if I wasn’t careful. I’ve bent stacking rings that were 1 – 1.5 mm before from daily activity (in an office). Just something to be aware of.

I personally love bezel. My  bf had very specific ideas on rings tho. Solitaire, round, minimal accents,  prong.

I’ll put some links to pretty bezels for you later, I still secretly drool over them. I know the jeweller we bought my ring from has some gorgeous ones.
