I just wanted to share my before and after “solitaire to halo” pics as I know looking at yours was instrumental to getting exaaaaaaaacttttllllyyyy what I wanted. Stats: I have a 1 ct. (or just over/under, can’t remember, maybe .97?) radiant cut E or F (again, can’t remember!!!) diamond in a white gold setting. It’s my second wedding set, an upgrade after 10 years of marriage and two HUGE babies! I felt it needed a little extra something but I liked the plain band look so after much research and designing with my jewelers, (Jared’s) I’m thrilled with the results! They are “2 pointers” or .02 cts rounds in the halo, a little larger than the standard 1 or 1.5’s that are usually used in a delicate halo, but I liked the crusted look and wanted to see a bit more stone. My goal was to create something that I loved and something that would become a family heirloom that I could pass down to my daughter. Her eyes got sooo big when she saw it, she’s 6 years old. 🙂
So here goes: (and I’m feeling hormonal today and might actually cry if you don’t like them… no pressure…)
And after: (Several!)

@Mommy2Boox2: That is absolutely gorgeous. 🙂 I love the look of the halo. I think the bigger stones look good, and defintely make it a little more unique than your typical halo. Good choice. 🙂

O_M_G! I love it It just looks so elegant beside your plain gold band. I have a plain gold band as well and thought they had gone by the wayside – but – by dressing up the stone with a beautiful halo, you have dressed up the entire look.
I just love the plain band – it really highlights your stone. Great finger coverage –
Wonderful vision with the stones on the halo as well!

It’s beautiful. The solitaire was a bit too plain but the halo looks just right. Thank goodness you didn’t get the beautiful solid gold band encrusted with stones also – that would have been a bit much but this is ideal. 🙂

wow how much did it cost to get it reset?
