No offense but why do you care?  A ring is a ring.  Everyone has different opinions and likes and dislikes.  It’s weird that you care if they “demand attention”….

ljm308 :  Get over yourself, this is a fun and interesting thread, go and comment on things you do care about instead, I don’t understand why you even clicked on a title about compliments when you so clearly don’t care or take interest about what other think…Did you just come here to be snarky? Why do you care what others care about? That’s werid!

I think halos, because they’re big and blingy and command attention.  Great for people who are all sorts of vivacious and bold, but also all reasons why I chose my pavé solitaire. Best of both worlds – subtle with a punch. 😘

I vote solitaire. A beautiful stone on its own always stand out more than something with a halo.

Solitaires stand out for me – I love dainty ones but also love big stones. But havent worn both. I guess it also depends on each persons preference, I have a solitaire and love them so I am drawn to looking at them more than a halo which isnt my cup of tea.

raeann1984 :  Exactly why I didn’t get a halo even though I think they’re beautiful. They’re beautiful on other women – women who know how to ‘own’ their jewelry. I wear nothing but my Engagement Ring, so I went with a pavé solitaire with a modest size stone (.90) so that it wouldn’t look like my ring was ‘wearing me’ so to speak. I think the pavé gives it enough sparkle to be interesting but it still isn’t too much for an introvert like me. πŸ˜„

I used to want a halo until he gave me a solitaire instead. I can do without the extra “bling” and it takes away from the diamond he spent so long to get. Mine is small, but has a lot more fire than the huge ones, especially with the halos I’ve seen.

raeann1984 :  I do see a lot more fire in my diamond than I do in most halos – but that doesn’t mean that I don’t think halos get attention. I just think they get it because they’re so in your face.

Personally I’m always more wow-ed by an amazing solitaire than a halo.

I voted halo not only because I own one but I love ❀️ them there are so many ways to have a halo from the chunky kind to dainty you can also have a round in a cushion or a oval and so on .. I am all for the bling and the flashy ha ha .. I just think a halo adds a extra something while the solitaire can shine on its own but πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ€πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ’πŸ’πŸ’I am just not a stand alone kinda gal ..
