Im a big fan of solitaire because they are timeless and they are very elegant to me. But halos are beautiful too they are timeless as well but i find them more romantic looking.

It just depend on your style and taste 😊

Buy fashion rings one solitaire one halo wear them for a a week or two each then see what u like best. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™‚ which one sticks the most for you 😊

I wanted a halo, but Fiance got me a simple solitaire and I adore it now. I didn’t think it would be me, but here I am, rocking it. I am thinking about getting 2 diamond curved bands to go on each side to give the halo look..with my solitaire. 😁

I love both, but chose a solitaire for myself. FWIW, I am only posting pictures because I have a size 7 finger; that really isn’t as big as you make it sound. My solitaire is only 1.71, and I think it stands up to my finger pretty well.

I personally do not like the halo for myself, but they are very beautiful and sparkly.  We bought my diamond separately and had the setting made custom, and I decided on a four prong basket setting in platinum with a plain band. I feel as though the halo would have taken away from the beauty of the diamond.

bklyn18 :  Initially, I’d always wanted a cushion cut halo but (2) things made me decide against. 1) they’ve become so unoriginal and almost trendy over the past few years and 2)  they create a false illusion. In my opinion, if you have a great quality stone that’s decently sized, it should be beautiful enough to stand on its own.

I wound up with a rose gold solitaire…from LAUREN B 😍 My fiancé did add an underlay halo as a nice hidden pop

bklyn18 :  I was thinking of resetting my moms stone in a halo. I told the appraiser and she said she would kill me because they will go out of style. I have a classic three stone which the appraiser told me to keep.

bklyn18 :  I vote HALO all the way!!! I had a different beautiful setting before and decided to upgrade to halo. I Would not worry  if half the world loves halos (some ladies might be concern about that), there are soooo many different styles and designers that you would find the one that will reflect your personality and happiness!

In any case, you can’t go wrong with either or:)

Good luck I think any would look great on you!

bklyn18 :  I LOVE my cushion round halo!  I also wear a size 7 and have blocky fingers so I wanted more finger coverage and some bling!  Here is a photo of my 1.35 carat round diamond with halo and wedding band.

I never thought I would love halos like I do now. I thought it took a away from a fabulous center stone. That is until I saw this delicate pave halo setting I have… now I’m just in love. If it’s done right a halo will definitely just add to the beauty of ur stone.

SaraJeanQ :  omg it’s gorgeous, absolutely stunning! I almost got the same style (just one thin band and the halo) but they didn’t have 18k gold or platinum in that style. And how are the sides? Is it elevated? So you have your halo and then two thin bands? Your diamond looks huge and gorgeous lucky girl πŸ˜‰ I will show you mine maybe tomorrow once I fix my camera lol

love your ring!!!

ygring :  Aw thank you!! Yes I got the “large” halo style from Adiamor.. a little thicker band, but their thin is also lovely. I did get two of their wedding bands and then they soldered them together for me so it’s just one ring!

You’d be surprised how tough it was for me to take a “clear” side view pic.. haha – just taken now:

I will say it seems more elevated here than it does in person. I got a 1.27 diamond plus the two bands, all colors G-H and even then I paid less than the same ring with 1 carat at Jared or Kay (in a darker color!). I sing their praises to anyone.

Here’s the link to my setting to see the side view better in video:
