I’d try printing them. I don’t see why they couldn’t go through twice. Personally, we just wrote ours in our chicken scratch. Actually, my fiance did. Before we even knew this was taboo. And no one said a word except about how beautiful the actual invitation was.

we printed addresses on regular paper and traced them with a fine point marker.  it came out pretty nice actually.  we didnt use a fancy font but people were telling me they thought i had really nice handwriting hehe.

Uh oh – I didn’t realize this was taboo.  I planned to hand write ours myself.  Is it really that wrong?  I have invitations that can’t go thru a printer…

i’ve gotten  about 2-3 invites lately from friends and they were hand written, i didnt think anything of them, i noticed the invite instead..but i guess our circle is not too fancy then.

If handwriting doesnt look like you want it, maybe you could print them like a pp said. Good luck to you!

Handwriting invites is certainly not taboo!

No, that is not taboo. Handwriting them (by anyone) is more proper than printing.

Handwritten address are actually “proper” etiquette.  We did NOT do this.  We had about 160ish invites to send out and there was no way I was going to write them out…plus I hate my handwriting, too.  You should try sending them through the printer…I don’t see why this would be a problem.  If not, there really is no problem with bad handwriting on your envelope.  Most people are just going to throw it in the trash…this is the reason I decided NOT to do envelope liners…why waste the time and money.

You should handwrite them!  I just sent my invites out and got lots of compliments!  you can use the Mirco .01, .03, and .05 pens to help you.  I slipped the printed address underneath my envelope and traced over it three times.  It took me a long time to do them but it certainly sets the tone to your wedding.  Good Luck!  I am sure your invites are beautiful regardless of what you decide to do!

if you want the handwritten look but not the bad handwriting, you can print in light ink and go over it with a nice pen.

i dont think there is anything wrong with computer printed addresses. just make sure that it isnt too small or too fancy print. you want it legible.

i agree to pp, try printing one. if your printer doesnt like it try kinkos/fedex office they are super helpful.
