@kim14410: Whatever you think is easier.  I’ve seen it both ways, and the envelope gets recycled pretty much right away…

My Future Mother-In-Law is getting our envelopes done by a calligrapher, I’d never spend the money personally.

I’m printing mine simply because I have a tendency to write whatever I’m hearing. So if I’m watching TV, I’ll start copying what they’re saying. I don’t know why, but it happens so I’m not taking the chance!

Whichever you prefer, depending on the look you are trying to achieve. I used a calligraphy pen and Handwrote the addresses on my invites. I used a lined card that came with my invites and inserted it into the envelope as a guide to get lines straight.  For the return address I used a printed label from vistaprint

I am afraid I would be disappointed with my penmanship on the envelope because while I think I have nice writing, my hand gets tired after awhile and I’ve got a lot of Save-The-Date Cards to address.  Plus it’s a lot more time consuming for me to write the addresses by hand.  Therefore I’m going with the feed-the-printer route.

Honestly, I think most people are going to pitch the envelope as soon as they open the STD since what’s inside is more important.
