Hmmm.  That’s an interesting point.  I never really thought about it.  Technically if it’s for the ceremony and you aren’t married yet I guess it would just be your initials.  But it’s also something you are getting to commemorate the day that you could pass down and it would be nice to have your wedded monogram on it.   I guess it would just be a personal choice.

I’d put my new inital on it since that is my new life and new name. Think that would be really sweet. To keep a bit of yourself in it you could do your three initials.

Honestly don’t analyze it so much. If you’re taking his name why would you have your current initials? My garter has my new initials on it. I think thats what you should have too, if not both then the last one definitely

Why not get a handkerchief for the wedding and then have it monogrammed with your new initials after?

Mine looks similar to this.. Except where it says “Mom”, mine has my initial with two super small flowers on each side.

Wedding handkerchief/mother of bride/groom/cherry blossom/dated/ with heart and date in opposite corner
