So in my last semester of college (1st 5 weeks of summer class) I made 15 vases all various shapes but similar heights, one for each table at my reception. The glaze didn’t come out the way I wanted to on all of them, but I’d thought I’d share one that I was pretty proud of! The clay is wild turkey with white crackle glaze on top and a line of Patinas at the top.
My colors for the wedding are mainly white and gray, with light peach and green used only the flowers. (white and light peach flowers with greenery)
Here it is with one of my mom’s flowers that broke today and she stuck it in the vase

That is too cool! I have always wanted to learn how to do that. It is great you get to have something so personal to you in your wedding.

these are awesome! great work!
I’m jealous, would love to have the time and talent to make vases for our decor! I could do exactly what I want without a thriftstore marathon!

@chasesgirl: Thank you! I’m a painter and graphic designer so it’s kind of in my blood to want to make everything (but I know it’s impossible and I’ll go crazy. haha)
@moose91: Thanks 🙂 I’m still definitely going thrifstoring to add some little things to go along with the vases. It’s just too fun and gives it’s a unique quality!

So pretty! I used to make pottery about 10 years ago. Mine never looked anywhere near as good as yours 😛

@iheartsquishy: Thank you, oooo, I’d like to see your work if you have any pics! Pottery is definitely not my medium and I only took one class (almost 2 years ago) before tackling this at the end of last month.
