There’s really nothing you can do until alcohol works its way out of your system. I try to drink a lot of water to help keep myself hydrated, but the idea of a hangover “cure” is a myth.

Smartwater & excedrin.  Or a Bloody Mary.  Yum.

I’m one of those suuuuuuuuuper lucky people who don’t get hangovers. One huge glass of water in the morning and I’m good to go!

Just thought I’d rub it in Wink teehee

it settles the stomach, rehydrates, and raises blood sugar all at once. Milk is also rich in vitamin D.

In college, it was a jack in the box chicken sandwich with a milkshake! Did the trick every time.

Vitamin water with electrolytes or gatorade.

They say to avoid Tylenol/asperin etc because apparently it intensifies the side effects when there is still alcohol in your system.

i was always told to drink a beer or take a shot to counteract. it works but when yorue hungover the last thing you want to taste is alcohol, lol. i usually take some advil before bed or a goody powder, lots of gatorade. and it also helps to not drink mixed drinks or stick to one type of alcohol. i hardly ever get hangovers.

@Miss Jackrabbit:  I used to be one of those hangover-free people! And then I turned 30. All of a sudden, two glasses of wine at night and I’m clutching my head and moaning the next day. 🙁

For me, the ultimate cure is an egg and cheese on a roll and a large Sprite. The soda will get your blood sugar up and help rehydrate you, the carbonation settles your stomach, the fatty egg yolk and cheese does something magical and the bread soaks up whatever else is left in your stomach. Follow it up with lots of water or Gatorade!
