Love your baby!  She’s lucky to have you in her life, and it’s great you wre so patient with her!

I have a rescue rabbit, found hopping around by herself in a big city, obviously dumped (happens alot a couple months after Easter when the baby bunny gifts start becoming adolescents…)

She was really shy and scared of everything at first- some of that is natural rabbitness, everything eats them in the wild.  Some of it, though, is she wasn’t socialized well and we think something chased her when she was loose.  I tried to put a harness on her to take her outside once and she FREAKED OUT, running around the room like the devil was after her and screaming.  Rabbits can scream- it’s terrible, like a pig squeeling.

After about a year of TLC, she’s more friendly and inquisitive, and LOVES to be pet.  She also likes to lick you : )  I love her, she’s my little hellion (mostly sweet, sometimes she thinks she’s a badass.)

@roxy821:  Awww, what a sweet little furbaby! I’m so glad she has such a wonderful home with you.

@Pearberry:  What an adorable bunny! I’ve heard bunnies scream. It’s seriously scary and you feel SOOO bad for them!

Aww that’s great!  And your furbaby reminds me of my little pup when we first got him.  He was lucky in that he had a rough first 4 weeks or so but then got with a rescue group and foster family who was able to teach him some good habits before we got him.  (Obligatory pic to follow)

awww!!! i love rescue stories!!!

my baby Reno was about 3 months old when we got her (my friend found her wandering around outside all mangy and matted)

she was very timid and scared of everything! especially males. Everytime we would bend down to pet her she would pee. poor baby!! we could barely get close enough to touch her πŸ™

she has come so far in 2 years! now she is very socialized, loves other dogs (although still the submissive one in most cases), and will take naps with daddy! and best of all… no more piddling! lol
