We’re going back to our wedding venue (it’s a hotel/fine dining restaurant) for lunch on New year’s Day. I’m pretty excited!

We’re having a few people over to play games. I don’t like to go out; too many amateurs

We just brought home our newborn daughter yesterday. We will just have carryout pizza from our favorite place and maybe try to time a feeding or diaper change with midnight.

I couldn’t be happier to be celebrating this way!

Had to cancel plans to go to a concert because I have the flu 😷.

My hubs felt bad and went all out buying my favorite snacks (different cheeses, charcuterie, roast chicken, pizza bagels and a whole bunch more). Nothing beats an over the top cheese plate IMO. We are going to celebrate at home with some champagne and The Twilight Zone.

Happy New Year, all!

I’m in Australia so it’s already new years day here. My fiance has an injured neck and I was exhausted from a long day at work so we just got take away for dinner and stayed in. He went to bed before 12 and I fell asleep on the couch and woke up after midnight haha

Making ribeyes, drinking some red wine, maybe playing some games. Low key night. I guess this is my 30s, lol.

We have children, and given that they are 18, 16 and 14, they won’t be home for NYE forever, so we try to make it fun. We always have appetizers for dinner (mozzarella sticks, potato skins, popcorn chicken, jalepeno poppers, etc.) and then play games. Cards Against Humanity is fun now that they are old enough, along with others like the Voting Game. We get hats and noise-makers and the rest.

I love to get dressed up and go out on NYE, but there will be plenty of time for that when the kids are off on their own. As it stands, I’d rather make the memories with them now because there will be plenty of years when they have their own spouses, children and lives to attend to.

Happy New Year, everyone!

We had take out Thai food, and I had a glass of champagne and some chocolate truffles after putting little one to bed.  It’s actually been pretty perfect. I have an almost 4 month old who doesn’t sleep through the night, so I’ll definitely be in bed before midnight.

Going to my husband’s Aunt’s house to have a big dinner from 9-12. It’s a huge deal, the biggest holiday actually, in Russian culture.

We will also be sharing that we are expecting a baby in 2019 so that will be very exciting.

Too bad I threw up my whole lunch and feel like absolute ass right now. Hoping it passes in a few more hours so I can have a nice time. Otherwise I’ll be posted up on their couch once I break the news and get a pass.
