Well if any of you know, I discovered a chip on my diamond that is only a month old. We just went to the jeweler and they looked and it is an inclusion. Since it threatens the durability and would drop the clarity into the I’s, they are going to let us hand pick a replacement when tier new batch comes in next week. So it’s not over yet, but I feel much better!!

@Monicaab: yay, so happy for you. Am rather surprised the GIA cert missed that though. Good thing you noticed it!

Yeah I have no idea. I honestly wonder if they chipped it when they set it because three of them looked and said it was kind of a deep ‘crack’ and that because of where it is and my setting/prongs, there’s no way I could have hit it. They were probably just covering their asses because it wasn’t an appraisal, they were just examining it.

Oh and FI even talked about possibly upping the size a little because his sister got her diamond there and it’s nearly a quarter carat bigger than mine with hearts and arrows cut and it was only $400 more than mine.. same color/clarity/cut. So there might be some upgrading!! (maybe haha)
