Hello, Bees! Prepare yourselves.. This is a long one =) It has been a month since I’ve posted (sorry for the delay) so let me get you up to speed..
As all of you are aware today is Valentines Day <3 but it is also an extra special day for my love and me. Three years ago this evening Joe got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was beautiful. And, came as quite the shock; I really had NO idea (apparently he’s got some tricks up his sleeve). Because I was 6 months we had spent 8 hours at the hospital for a parenting class that day. So, I was extactic to be going out to dinner and spending some one on one time (not learning about forceps and epidurals..) with my love. We decided to go to our favorite restaurant “The Vinyard” which, of course, had a massive waiting list (they didn’t accept reservations). So to waste some time we decided to go to good ol’ WalMart and have a little fun- we both had 20 minutes to go through the store find some Valentines gag gifts for eachother and would meet back up at the front of the store to go back to The Vinyard where we would present out gifts to eachother. Once we sat down and were getting ready to eat I was repeatedly asking him for my card and gag gift but he refused until after dinner.. Annoying, but ok, fine. When we were good and plump I gave him my gag gift then anxiously asked for my stuff. He handed me a little bag with allllll of my favorite candy (which was everything at the time.. C’mon, I was prego.) and a card. Whatever the card was about was irrelevant because it was what HE WROTE in the card. “I love you so much words cannot explain, so instead of writing you how much I love you I present you with this…” As you can imagine I was confused and thinking to myself “Ah, babe, you forgot to finish..” but when I looked up he was standing there. With a box. A little blue box. My jaw dropped and I was screaming inside my head. He proceeded to tell him how much he loved while getting down on one knee opened to the box and asked me to marry him. I was completely, utterly, shocked.. And speechless, thinking to myself: “Is this really happening? Are my dreams really coming true? Control yourself. Don’t cry. Man, it’s hot in here. HOLY CRAP, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOMAN, SAY YES!” And, I did. Like a million times. To this day I am still in shock, in shock for how much he surprised me and in shock for how lucky I am.
Now, onto present day. I FOUND MY WEDDING DRESS! And, we have set an appointment for our engagement photos! We also set an appointment to meet with our ceremony and reception vedor to put our deposit down. After three years, things are finally starting to fall together. YAY! I am totally on cloud nine. Next on the list is to get in touch with our DJ to put the deposit down for their services. Then what? I suppose flowers. I should probably get started on my invites as well. Well, I’ll stop rambling now and let you get back to your wedding planning. Happy Valentines Day, Bees and Hive!!
