I love mine=) I stare at it all day. Most people don’t know what moissanite is so yes, they will assume it was a diamond. But I do notice the yellow in some lights, but a lot of diamonds have yellow in them too. The yellow doesnt bother me, I have grown to like it. But i do notice the black hole, I have a pic that you can tell in it. Im not a fan of the black hole look, but it doesnt show all the time.

and heres the black hole pic

My camera is really bad so these pics dont do it justice at all. But you get the idea.

Just got my moissy in the mail this morning! I have to say I feel pretty good about my decision to trade in my original diamond e-ring and go with this one! It is the Sol314 from MoissyCo, .75 ct equivalent (6mm) Amora, size 3.75 in palladium.

@brandybelle:  I KNOW! I am sad to admit that even the 3.75 is a touch too large…lol. ridiculous! and THANK YOU! I’m thrilled with how it turned out 🙂

How do you ladies who have these moissy rings – clean them? Do they tarnish? Do the stones change color? Are they easily damaged?

I have 2 real diamond rings, but I was curious about getting some earrings… maybe something similar, but I want to know more about them… esp. how you clean them and do they keep looking shiny and sparkly for several years or do they need to be replaced? Curiousity is beaming.

@newbabybee:  You clean them like any other durable fine gemstone, with jewelry cleaner or dawn dishsoap and a baby toothbrush. They are very easy to take care of, and atomically more stable than diamond.

The rings don’t tarnish because I do believe most everyone has them set in either gold, palladium or platinum. Moissanite does not and will not ever change color, they are the second hardest gemstone (harder than sapphire, softer than diamond). Unless you manage to chip one you would never need to replace them. =) Hope that helps.

@Pinkmoon:  I love that ring design – where did you find that? The twists are gorgeous.

I REALLY like mine. there were days I was a bit dissapointed in the yellow it picked up and I am quite honest in saying it looks less pretty in malls or stores, but everyday life and dinner?? OMG LOVE it. I am so happy he bought this ring for me 🙂
