@NovaRising: Thank you, Asha sounds interesting. 🙂
Your stone is stunning!! <3 Thank you for the Moissy article, definately an intersting read. I don’t want to rule out a moissy, I would love to see one in real life but couldnt find a jeweler seeling any nearby where I live. Thank you for posting the comparision video.
I looked into the price of non-lab created Alexandrites, they are definately expensive but really beautiful…
I will try to have a look at a white sapphire, I have never seen one before but online… Than you for the suggestion! 🙂
Yes, I dreamed of a huuuuge diamond! 🙂 I have tried a ring with a 4 carat diamond a few months ago and it looked silly ridiculous on my hand! Like, proper too much over the top and it didn’t really feel “right”. Hence, I gave up on wanting anything bigger than max. 2 carat but would probably be very happy with a 1 carat sized stone.
I think that I would prefere a colourless stone even though I adore coloured stones but I worry that they will not “fit” with every colour (clothing and style-wise).
To be clear, my SO is not letting me pick the ring. I can only give him suggestions but he is going to make the final decision and choose a ring for me. Hence, it’s not up to me… I can only tell him what kind of stone I would prefer and hope that he get’s the hint! 😉

@alaha: Like CelticBeachBride said, if you want a diamond, a moissy just don’t do. Yes moissanite was marketed as a diamond simulant, but they’re not as good as mimicing diamonds as a CZ. This happens to be why I love moissanite and dislike diamonds, the extra fire and brilliance really make the stone sparkle. In addition, moissanite doesn’t attract oils/grease the way a diamond does, so it stays cleaner longer (this is due to the nature of the carbon molecule). If diamonds and moissanites were the same price, I’d still choose moissanite for these reasons alone. I love the fact that my ring is conflict free (moissy center, recycled diamond sidestones and gold), but there are many different stones that are lab created/ethically mined and definitely conflict free. I don’t think that there is a “better” or “right” choice when it comes to a stone, the same way there isn’t a “better” hair color or height; it all comes down to personal preferrence.

@alaha: Darn typo, I meant to say go with moissy if you like the moodiness than go with moissy.
